Iowa DOT Fatalities Decrease From Year Ago

According to Iowa DOT, road fatalities have decreased from last year from 348 to 335. However, it still accumulates to the second highest total in the past five years.

Breaking it down by month, January saw the lowest amount of crashes with 18, while July had the highest, adding up to 41. Of the 335 accidents, 113 were from individuals who were not wearing a seat-belt. A reminder to buckle up and drive safely.
