Friends of Storm Lake Library Launch Holiday Fundraiser

The Friends of the Storm Lake Public Library has launched its annual holiday fundraiser.

This year’s campaign features four themed gift baskets available by silent bid. Organizers say the baskets make ideal Christmas gifts, and bids can be placed in person at the library.

Donations are also being accepted at the library or by mail to Friends of the Library at 609 Cayuga St. in Storm Lake. Checks should be made payable to Friends of the Storm Lake Library.

The fundraiser is the group’s only campaign of the year, with proceeds supporting library furnishings, materials, and programs for all ages. Looking ahead to 2026, one major project will be a renovation of the children’s department, including replacement of the computer station.

Library Director Elizabeth Huff says community support is vital to keeping the library strong and accessible for everyone.
