City Council Honors Fire Department Leaders for Stepping Up

The Storm Lake City Council formally recognized two longtime members of the Storm Lake Fire Department for stepping up during a critical leadership transition.

Councilperson Maria Ramos presented a proclamation honoring Interim Volunteer Fire Chief Jeff Goodman and Assistant Interim Volunteer Fire Chief Adam Kutz during Mondayโ€™s city council meeting. Goodman and Kutz led the fire department while the full-time chief position was vacant.

The proclamation praised Goodman and Kutz for their courage, professionalism, and selfless commitment to public safety. 

City Manager Keri Navratil added her personal thanks.

New Fire Chief Terence Sinner officially began his role earlier this week.

The Storm Lake City Council presented a proclamation Monday evening in recognition of two of the Storm Lake Fire Department’s veteran members who have stepped forward to lead the vital department during the period when the full-time fire chief position was vacant.
