Buena Vista University (BVU) is gearing up to host its first intercollegiate rodeo this Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm at the Buena Vista County Fairgrounds. The event will feature bull and bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, goat tying, and barrel racing.
Friday is Student Night meaning that all students gain free entry with a school ID. Saturday is Family Day, which will have a free petting zoo and meet-and-greet with rodeo clowns and bull riders from 12-2pm.
Tickets for children 10 and younger will receive free admission, ages 11-15 are $5 in advance or $7 at the door, and adults 16 and up will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at bvu.edu/rodeoticket.
