The Buena Vista County Conservation Department’s public shooting range stakeholder meeting that was scheduled for tonight (Tues) is postponed due to inclement weather.
According to Conservation Board Director Greg Johnson, the board will work with known stakeholders to reschedule the meeting for sometime after the new year. A previous news release from the conservation board stated that there is a need for a universal shooting complex where teams can practice, and competitions can be held with other schools. A complex is especially needed with the addition of a collegiate shooting sports team at Buena Vista University, along with the increasing popularity of youth shooting sports among high school students in BV County.
