BV Conservation Office Holding Meeting to Discuss Need for Public Shooting Range

The Buena Vista County Conservation Board is hosting a kickoff meeting next week for interested parties to discuss the needs and goals for a public shooting range in the county.

A news release from the conservation board says there is a need for a universal shooting complex that teams can practice at, and hold competitions with other schools. A complex is especially needed due to the addition of a collegiate shooting sports team at Buena Vista University, along with the increasing popularity of youth shooting sports among high school students in BV County.

Those that are interested in supporting or discussing the needs and goals of a public and/or youth sports complex are encouraged to attend the meeting next Wednesday, December 13th at 7pm at the County Engineers Office at 526 Radio Road in Storm Lake.

Contact the BV County Conservation Office for any additional information or questions.
