The Buena Vista County Conservation Department is working on updating several properties.

The Linn Grove project has been in the works for the last few years, but has been delayed multiple times. The department has been working with FEMA on certain issues, and other funding requests have been considered for the restoration project, which will cost 7.5-million dollars.
As was mentioned previously, the department is putting together a Destination Iowa grant to facilitate repairs at the Storm Lake Marina, as BV Conservation is hoping to reach an agreement in the coming months that would allow them to take over operation of the Marina.
The Buena Vista County Conservation Board manages 17 areas that contain over 12-hundred acres of parks, wildlife refuges, historic sites, and natural areas.
