The OA-BCIG football team is heading back to the UNI-Dome thanks to a 19-0 win over Spirit Lake in a class 2A quarter-final game played Friday night at Spirit Lake.
The Falcons defense held the Indians to 58 yards of offense for the game and gave up only two first downs.
Beckett DeJean ran for 118 yards and threw a pair of touchdowns to Gabe Winterrowd and the Falcons offense rolled up 377 yards of offense. Winterrrowd had seven receptions for 111 yards and caught touchdown passes of 20 and 71 yards.
The Falcons, who won state championships in 2019 and 2020, return to Cedar Falls to play Central Lyon-George Little Rock in one of the 2A semi-finals at 1pm Saturday, November 12th. The other semi-final game has Dubuque Wahlert playing Williamsburg at 10am.
The 2A state championship game will be played at 10am on November 18th.
