WolfTornabane To Run for Feenstra’s Seat

A Storm Lake woman has entered the race for Randy Feenstra’s seat in Congress.

Tuesday, 35-year-old Democrat Ashley WolfTornabane jumped into the race for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District.

She is the only declared Democrat in the race after Ryan Melton suspended his campaign three weeks ago citing changes in his job, health concerns, and family considerations.

WolfTornabane previously served her public school system as an Instructional Assistant. Before that she was the Director of Christian Education at the church she was raised in and actively attends.

In a statement released Tuesday, WolfTornabane said she will listen and fight for “everyday Iowans” in Washington.

Incumbent Congressman Randy Feenstra is exploring a run for Iowa governor in 2026.

Two Republicans have formally entered the race for Feenstra’s seat: Siouxland Chamber president Chris McGowan, and Iowa House Majority Leader Matt Windschitl of Missouri Valley.
