Water temperatures in Storm Lake have warmed to around 50 degrees, according to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
Anglers are catching crappie, walleye, and yellow bass in the marina. Shore fishing in Storm Lake is expected to improve as water temperatures warm up.
Water levels in Black Hawk Lake in Lake View are several inches over the crest of the spillway. Anglers are doing well from shore, and fishing is expected to get even better as the water starts to warm up over the next week.
