An off-road vehicle accident in Clay County several days ago sent two people to the hospital.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened shortly after 5:40pm back on May 18th in the 11 hundred mile of 490th Street. A 2024 Tan Polaris Side by Side ATV driven by 35-year-old Joel Rieck of Hartley was traveling eastbound when Rieck lost control, and the vehicle rolled into the south ditch.
Joel Rieck and a passenger, Kelsi Rieck, were both transported by Peterson CRU to the Spencer Hospital to be treated for possible injuries. The accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
