According to the Marcus Police Department, the investigation began in April after officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 300 block of North Maple Street. Officers allegedly discovered illegal substances. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of several controlled substances including methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills.

Three individuals, Hunter Bentz, Melony Jackson, and Matthew Mulder have all been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jackson and Mulder were also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Committing Prohibited Acts. Bentz was also charged with Possession of Marijuana.
