Alvarz-Guzman Arrest

According to a press release, the Storm Lake Police Department was notified of alleged sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 14 occurring at a residence in Storm Lake between 2019 and 2020. Police launced an investigation into the incident. In May of this year, Storm Lake Police applied for warrants for Romulo Alvarez-Guzman, age 57 of Alta. On May 14th, Alvarez-Guzman was located in the 500 block of Flindt Drive in Storm Lake, and taken into custody on the warrants. Alvarez-Guzman was charged with Indecent Contact With A Child, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Assault With Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree, a Class B Felony; two counts of Lascivious Acts With A Child, Class C Felonies. Alvarrez-Guzman was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail, and held on a $25,000 bond.
