Third Street in Storm Lake will be shut down beginning beginning July 7 for the planned sewer line crossing associated with the new lift station.
The street will likely be closed for approximately three days to perform the 3rd Street utility crossing and patch it back with a temporary gravel surface. They will then focus on the College Avenue crossing immediately following the 3rd Street crossing.
The contractor is anticipating that both roads will be back open on July 18th, weather permitting. The contractor has indicated that they will keep the west drive access open to BVU Lot K (north parking lot) for the duration of this work. Access to this entrance will be from the north on College Avenue.
