Storm Lake RAGBRAI Committee Offering Presentation on Volunteer, Host Needs

The Storm Lake RAGBRAI steering committee is offering citywide visits to local organizations in an effort to provide answers to questions pertaining to hosting and volunteer needs for the bike ride’s overnight stop on Sunday, July 23rd.

A steering committee member will give a brief presentation on plans for the bicycle ride’s journey through Storm Lake. Details on volunteer and hosting needs will especially be shared. The presentation is available to organizations of all sizes.

“We know there are questions, and we want to do our best to provide the community with answers while briefly covering opportunities to get involved through volunteering, hosting riders and more,” says Carl Turner, Advisory Board Executive Chair. “It’s so rewarding to host a rider or group of riders, and we simply cannot pull off Sunday’s visit without a few hundred volunteers.”

To request a Storm Lake RAGBRAI steering committee presentation, send an email to ragbraistormlake@gmail.com with a time, location, and date information. Sign up for volunteering opportunities and to host riders online at www.ragbraistormlake.com.

Storm Lake is the first overnight stop for the 50th edition of the bike ride. More than 25-thousand riders and support team members are expected.
