A Storm Lake man has won a big Iowa Lottery prize.
50-year-old Alexander Perez won nearly 300 thousand dollars in the Extreme Green Progressive InstaPlay game. Perez purchased his winning ticket Monday at the Midtown store in Storm Lake. He claimed his prize yesterday (Tues) at the lottery headquarters in Clive.
Perez currently owns a garage to service and repair vehicles in Storm Lake. He says the lottery win comes at a perfect time, as he is planning to open a new business for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Extreme Green Progressive InstaPlay is a 20-dollar game. The jackpot starts at 20 thousand dollars and increases with each ticket sold until it is won.
