Storm Lake City Council Will Consider Implementing Water Conservation Measures

The Storm Lake City Council will meet in special session to consider a resolution that would implement water conservation measures.

The special meeting will be tomorrow (Fri) at 8am in the council chambers at City Hall.

Last week, the City of Storm Lake started urging users of their system to conserve water due to the hot and dry conditions. The City says a daily amount of five-million gallons of water has been used recently, which is the maximum capacity for the treatment plant. Normal use is approximately 3.5-million gallons per day. Water usage has remained up this week, which forced Storm Lake officials to consider mandatory conservation measures.
