Storm Lake St. Mary’s students will take part in the Diocesan Band Festival next Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City.
The festival brings together young musicians from across the Diocese for a full day of rehearsal and collaboration, culminating in a concert that evening.
Representing St. Mary’s this year are Grace Beck on flute, Emerson Smith on alto saxophone, and Nicole Gibbins on percussion. The students have prepared four pieces of music and will join their peers in performing challenging selections under the direction of guest conductors.
