Retired First Sergeant Dale Tokheim will be the featured speaker at this year’s Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular Patriotic Ceremony.
The event will be on Wednesday, July 3rd at 5:30pm in Sunset Park. All are welcome to attend.
Tokheim graduated from Schaller High School in 1988. He attended Buena Vista University, graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State.
Tokheim served in the Army National Guard for 22 years. He was a longtime member of the Service Battery 1st Battalion 194th Field Artillery in Storm Lake. Tokheim’s military career included two deployments.
Tokheim has been a teacher and coach for over three decades. He taught middle school social studies at Schaller Crestland and Ridge View for 21 years, and is now in his 10th year at Ridge View High School.
The Patriotic Ceremony will feature music, a tribute to veterans, and a celebration of community spirit.
