One Person Hospitalized Following Clay County Crash

Last Thursday morning (Oct. 6th) at approximately 7am, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of a two vehicle accident in which one person was injured.

Upon arrival, deputies found that 37-year-old Rebecca Worshek, of Hull, was traveling southbound in the 3400 mile of 240th Ave, when a 2005 Nissan Sentra, driving northbound by a juvenile female t-boned Worshek’s 2020 Dodge Durango when she failed to realize that Worshek was coming. The juvenile attempted to turn west on 350th Street. The Nissan Sentra ended up in a field, where it knocked over a stop sign. The juvenile woman was transported to the Spencer Hospital for her injuries with Worshek denying medical assistance.

Both vehicles were totaled. There was 25-hundred dollars damage to the stop sign. At this time, the only charge is a citation for Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn for the juvenile.
