Missing Cherokee County Man’s Remains Discovered Over the Weekend

The remains of a missing Cherokee man have been discovered.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the remains of Joseph Kosiba were found Sunday in a field approximately one mile east of Cherokee. Kosiba was reported missing two months ago.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. The investigation is ongoing. The remains have been sent to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
