Minor Injuries Reported from Two-Vehicle Crash in Clay County

Minor injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident this past Friday in Clay County.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Lisa Grossnickle was driving a 2022 Lincoln eastbound on Highway 18, crossing the intersection with 240th Avenue. A 2023 Ford F150 driven by 86-year-old Donald Bjorkland of Spencer was northbound on 240th Avenue approaching the highway. Bjorkland ran a stop sign and struck Grossnickle’s vehicle on the rear passenger side, which caused it to spin down the roadway.

Bjorkland was cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign. There was 20 thousand dollars damage to Grossnickle’s vehicle, and 15 thousand dollars damage to Bjorkland’s vehicle.
