The Storm Lake RAGBRAI committee is seeking local and area entertainers for the first overnight stop of this year’s bicycle ride.
Entertainment is needed for late afternoon and early evening on Sunday, July 23rd. Entertainment and Special Events Co-Chair Elissa Doebel says Storm Lake’s goal is to provide visitors and the town with a taste of all Storm Lake and the surrounding area has to offer. Doebel says they’re hoping for a mix of cultural dancers, face painting, entertainers and musicians, and more that’s unique to the area.
Plans are in the works to welcome thousands of riders to Storm Lake. Campground locations and more will be shared in the coming days. Headliner band announcements will be shared in early May. Entertainment and Special Events Co-Chair Amy Von Bank says all location possibilities are being explored for the day’s events. The big concert on the night of July 23rd will be held on the AWAYSIS Great Lawn near King’s Pointe.
