Lane Closures Begin Monday on Highway 7 Near Storm Lake

Drivers in Storm Lake should prepare for lane closures on Iowa Highway 7 starting Monday. The Iowa DOT’s District 3 office says crews will begin pavement patching work, which is expected to continue through Wednesday, Aug. 20, weather permitting.

Lane closures will affect both the four-lane and three-lane sections of Highway 7. Through  traffic will be maintained when possible, but drivers on the three-lane stretch will be guided by a pilot car.

Motorists are urged to slow down, follow posted signs, and stay alert—especially since traffic fines double in work zones. For real-time updates, visit 511ia.org or download the free 511 app.
