Lake Improvement Commission Meets for First Time in 2025

The Lake Improvement Commission held its first meeting of 2025 on Monday.

City of Storm Lake Staff Accountant Tyler Gibbins provided the fund balance, and said there is currently $39,819 available to the commission.

Meg McKeon was elected chairperson of the commission, and Kathy Croker was elected as vice chair.

The LIC opted to reduce their meetings to quarterly on the last Monday of the month at Storm Lake City Hall. Upcoming meetings will be held in June and September. The commission will not meet in December. They had been meeting every month between March and September.

The Lake Improvement Commission is responsible for water quality and aquatic vegetation management.
