Iowa harvest is in full swing, as little to no precipitation made practically all of last week suitable for fieldwork in the state.
11-percent of Iowa’s corn harvest is now complete, which is four days behind last year, and one day behind the five-year average. 16-percent of northwest Iowa corn has been harvested.
26-percent of soybeans are now harvested in the state, which is three days behind last year, but one day ahead of average. Farmers in northwest Iowa led the way with 45-percent of soybeans harvested.
Corn and soybeans rated good to excellent both dropped slightly to 61-percent.
