Fostoria Teen Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting a Juvenile With a Sweeper Vacuum

A Fostoria teen was arrested over the weekend for allegedly assaulting a juvenile female with a sweeper vacuum.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, emergency medical services and a Clay County deputy were dispatched to a residence in Fostoria late Saturday afternoon in response to a juvenile female having a seizure. The juvenile was conscious and breathing upon the arrival of authorities.

An altercation had allegedly taken place moments before the seizure began. The suspect, 19-year-old Tatum Wells, reportedly used an old-style sweeper vacuum to strike the juvenile female at least two times which resulted in bodily injury.

Wells was taken into custody without incident and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. She was booked into the Clay County Jail, and was released after posting bond.
