A Sioux City man has been sentenced to prison after admitting to a felony drug offense in Buena Vista County.
Thirty‑eight‑year‑old Anthony Smith, formerly of Sioux City, was sentenced March 20th in Buena Vista County District Court for third offense possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. Judge Shayne Mayer ordered Smith to serve a prison term not to exceed five years with the Iowa Department of Corrections.
The case was prosecuted by Buena Vista County Attorney Paul A. Allen.
