Drought conditions remain virtually the same in the area.
The latest Iowa Drought Monitor map shows all of northwest Iowa in Moderate Drought, with portions of Plymouth and Sioux counties in Severe Drought. The current map was released yesterday (Thur) based on data from early Tuesday morning.
Nearly 86 percent of the state is dealing with some form of drought, up less than a half-percent from last week. Only areas in southern Iowa have normal conditions in the state.
