DNR Storm Lake Walleye Netting Info

The DNR conducted its annual walleye netting at Storm Lake this week.

According to Fisheries Biologist Ben Wallace, female walleye gathered this year were extremely healthy. The largest fish collected in Storm Lake this year was 28 inches. Several others checked in at 22 inches or more.

Water conditions were said to be ideal, and the waters were fairly calm during the three-night netting process.
