A large fire this (Wed) evening between Storm Lake and Alta caught the attention of several citizens.
According to Storm Lake Fire Chief Glenn Schlesser, it was a CRP controlled burn on approximately 40 acres of grassland that was handled by the Alta Fire Department.
The fire was reportedly extinguished late this evening. We’ll have more information when it becomes available.
