Construction for Lift Stations in Storm Lake Begins This Week

Starting this week, the City of Storm Lake will be completing critical work to sanitary sewer infrastructure in two areas of the community.

Scout Park Lift Station and the Ice House Lift Station on the southwest portion of Vista Drive will see construction activity as facilities are replaced.

The new lift stations will improve sanitary sewer capacity for a large portion of the community and help prevent loss of service due to flood hazards. During construction, lane shifts and closures are planned for portions of Lighthouse Drive and Vista Drive. Construction at these sites is anticipated to begin this Wednesday and continue through the fall of 2026.

A neighborhood meeting was held for residents of the two areas in November. Residents with any questions on the project may contact Infrastructure Engineer Josh Pope at 712-363-8638 (Joshua.Pope@bolton-menk.com) or Project Manager Katie Sterk at 515-520-9037 ( Kathryn.Sterk@bolton-menk.com).

A project website has been created. Updated information will be posted there throughout the project. Go to http://clients.bolton-menk.com/slwastewater
