One teen has died and another was injured after a crash near Correctionville.
According to the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at about 6:30pm Wednesday northeast of Correctionville in the area of Highway 31 and 145th Street. The accident reportedly involved two vehicles traveling south on the highway. A collision caused both vehicles to enter the ditch. One of the vehicles rolled multiple times, and the driver was ejected.
The driver of one vehicle, a 16-year-old male, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old male that was ejected from his vehicle, was transported to a hospital as well and died from his injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation.
