Buena Vista University announces that a writer, historian, and filmmaker from California is this year’s Artist in Residence.
Lucas Seastrom has experience in the Walt Disney Family Museum. He will be on campus from March 20th through the 31st. During that time, Seastrom will work closely with students and share his expertise. Beginning on Monday, March 20th at 5:30pm, the community is invited to view Seastrom’s gallery titled “Filmmaking is Storytelling : In All Forms” which will be displayed at the BVU Art Gallery.
At the end of Seastrom’s residence, BVU will host a media festival that will begin at 7pm on Friday March 31st in the Anderson Auditorium on the BVU campus. The festival will feature a special student short film premiere. There will also be a question-and-answer conversation between Seastrom and student filmmakers.
Both events are free and open to the public.
