An Alta man, accused of sexually assaulting a child, was sentenced this week in Buena Vista County District Court to serve up to ten years in prison.
36-year-old Harny Dosalua previously entered an Alford plea to two counts of Lascivious Acts With a Child, both class C felonies. Along with the prison sentence, Dosalua was also placed on the Iowa Sex Offender registry for the rest of his life.
On February 16th of this year, the Storm Lake Police Department received a belated report pertaining to the sexual assault of a minor. Police alleged that Dosalua had sexually assaulted a nine-year-old child in December of 2018 at a residence in the 500 block of College Avenue in Storm Lake. Dosalua was taken into custody on February 24th.
