A Second Individual Charged in Connection to Storm Lake Assault Incident

Another arrest has been made in connection to an assault that took place in Storm Lake earlier this month.

Back on February 10th, the Storm Lake Police Department was called to 914 East Milwaukee Avenue for a welfare check. A male victim claimed he was assaulted at the residence three days prior to that by a female identified as 25-year-old Jasmine Jones of Storm Lake. They reportedly engaged in a domestic dispute in which Jasmine Jones stabbed the victim with a knife several times in the upper body, which caused minor lacerations. Jones was booked without bond into the Buena Vista County Jail.

Following further investigation into the case, an additional suspect, 31-year-old Jodeci Jones of Storm Lake, was taken into custody on Monday. Jodeci Jones was charged with Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, a class D felony…and Domestic Abuse Assault With Intent to Inflict Serious Injury, a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a seven thousand dollar bond.
