East Sac County soccer teams get swept by Panorama

The East Sac County Raider soccer teams got swept by Panorama Panthers on Thursday night with the girls falling 10-0 and the boys getting defeated 4-3

The girls game saw Panorama freshman Morgan Crees score seven goals. The game saw the Raider defense stand tall for the first eight minutes before the Panthers would crack the scoreboard at the 32 minute mark, when Crees tallied her first goal assisted by McKenna Burns. The Panthers would have another quick strike just 90 seconds later when Mia Waddle tallied her second goal of the season assisted by Crees to make it 2-0. The Raiders would hold the Panther off the scoreboard for 11 minutes with the help of a shot hitting the post during that time. However, again Crees would strike, this time two goals in the span of about 90 seconds to push the Panther lead to 4-0. The Panthers would continue the strong push over the next two minutes getting two more goals. Those two wer from Kelsey Carlson (15:05) and Crees would collect her fourth of the half (14:34) to move the Panther lead to 6-0. The Panther would close out the half when Kaitlin Kent would cash in a PK try off of a Radier handball, to give the Panthers a 7-0 halftime advantage.

The second half saw Crees get a second half hat-trick and the Panthers would go on to win 10-0. The game concluded with 21:32 left to the 10 goal rule.

The Panthers improve to 3-0 and play West Central Valley on Monday. Goal scorers: Morgan Crees seven goals (12th on the season), Mia Waddle one goal (2nd on the season), Kaitlin Kent one goal (Her first of the year), and Kelsey Carlson had one (Her first of the year).

The Raiders fall to 0-2 and travel to play West Sioux on Monday.

The boys game saw the Panthers rally to a 4-3 win over the Raiders. The Raiders would strike just over three minutes into the match when Caleb Eichorn connected for his first goal of the season to give the Radiers a 1-0 lead. The Raiders would double their lead almost eight minutes later when Isaiah Aragon connected on his second goal of the year to make it 2-0. Eleven minutes later Panorama would connect to cut the lead to 2-1. However the Raiders would have the answer scoring with just under seven to go in the half when Sam Schmitt coaxed his first goal of the season to make it 3-1 at the half.

The second half saw the Panthers mount a comeback. The comeback started seven and a half minutes into the second half to cut the lead down to 3-2. The Panthers would add an equalizer with just under 19 miuntes to go to knot the score at 3 all. The Panthers would have a goal called off at 12:30 due to an offside call. Following that there would be two yellow cards (Emil Buhl-Panorama, and Braedon Draper) and two red cards (Luke Wernimont-East Sac County and Emil Buhl-Panorama) that got called over the final 15 minutes. WIth the exit of Luke Wernimont, it prompted the arrival of Caleb Eichorn into net. Panorama would net a late goal with 32 second to go to win 4-3

The Panthers improve to 2-1 and play West Central Valley on Monday. The Raiders fall to 1-1 and travel to play West Sioux Monday evening. Goal scorers: Caleb Eichorn (his first of the season), Isaiah Aragon (his second of the season), and Sam Schmitt (his first of the season).
