Cooper Dejean might be a Sophomore standout Defensive Back for the Iowa Hawkeyes, but deep down, he’s a humble kid at heart at the age of 19 from Odebolt. Today, he returned to his home area to take pictures and sign autographs for all his fans! The event was sponsored by Mark Hansen’s Rex Chevrolet-GMC.
Dejean attended high school in Ida Grove at OABCIG, under Head Coach Larry Allen. This year’s team (2022) finished with an overall record of 10-2, advancing to the UNI-DOME, where they fell to Central Lyon/George-Little Rock.
The Hawkeyes completed the 2022 season 8-5 overall (5-4 Big 10). This year, they did gain revenge in the Transperfect Music City Bowl against Kentuky 21-0, after falling to them last year by three points. We’ll continue to watch his development throughout the rest of his collegiate career.
