A Storm Lake man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, the traffic stop occurred near county road C-49 and Vestal Street for a minor violation at around 11pm Monday. A Storm Lake Police K-9 was deployed and indicated to an odor of narcotics in the vehicle. The driver, 47-year-old Jose Perez, was allegedly in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Perez was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine 3rd Offense, a class D felony…Driving While Revoked, a serious misdemeanor…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Careless Driving, Operating An Unregistered Vehicle, and No Proof of Insurance, all simple misdemeanors.
Perez was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 42-hundred dollar bond.
