Yanga’s Career High Leads Tornado Girls To Win

The Storm Lake girls basketball team tipped off their season with a 70-36 win at South Central Calhoun Tuesday night in Lake City.

Adeeya Yanga scored a career high 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting leading three Tornadoes in double figures. Storm Lake built a 37-22 lead at the break and never trailed in the game.

Avery DeHaan was 5-for-8 from downtown and scored 15 points and Grace Kenkel added 12. The Titans Macie Dorman and Blair Schleisman each scored a team high eight points.
