Tornadoes Net Big Wins At Spencer

Jaidyn Coon scored a career high 33 points helping the Storm Lake boys basketball team beat Spencer 83-60 Friday night at Spencer. Coon also grabbed eight rebounds, blocked three shots, and dished out several assists.

Cam Boyd was throwing no look passes, rebounding and scoring 16 points and David William added 13 points. The Tornadoes scored 25 points in the 1st quarter and led 45-31 at the break. The Tornadoes are now 8-1 and 4-0 in the Lakes Conference.

The Storm Lake girls went on a 23-0 run and raced out to a 29-5 lead in their 60-49 win over the Tigers. Adeeya Yanga scored 21 points and Grace Kenkel added a season high 18 as the Tornadoes won their 4th straight game improving to 8-5 overall and 1-3 in the Lakes Conference.
