The Sioux Center girls basketball team beat Storm Lake 73-48 Tuesday night and in the process punched their ticket to the Class 4A State Tournament.
The Warriors shot 56-percent for the game and made 11-of-18 shots from behind the arc. Maryn Franken scored a game high 29 points leading four players in double figures as Sioux Center improves to 21-2. Sioux Center is seeded 7th at State and will face North Polk In the first round Tuesday, March 4th.
Storm Lake shot 37-percent from the field and made 3-of-17 shots from the arc. Adeeya Yanga scored 20 and Avery DeHaan added 15 for the Tornadoes who finish the year with a record of 16-8. Storm Lake committed only one turnover In the game.

Sioux Center led 37-29 at the half but broke the game open when they made four straight 3-pointers in the final three minutes of the 3rd quarter including two in the final :28 seconds by Kaylee Traver and the Warriors carried a 62-43 lead into the final quarter.
