The Storm Lake basketball teams picked up wins Tuesday night at Sioux City-North with the girls winning 71-30 and the boys prevailing by a score of 85-43.
Avery DeHaan buried six of Storm Lake’s eleven 3-pointers and poured in a game high 20 points. Adeeya Yanga added 16 and Mackenzie Harder chipped in with a career high 11 points. Click below to hear from Harder, DeHaan, Kennadie Miller and head coach Nate Reichter.
In the boys game, ten different Tornadoes scored with Jaidyn Coon leading the way with a game high 27 points. The Tornadoes led 43-23 at the half as they cruised to a season opening win. Click below to hear from head coach Evan Franzmeier.
