Tigers Run By Tornadoes

The Spencer Tigers used a one-two punch in their backfield and amassed 446 yards rushing in a 46-6 win over Storm Lake Friday night at Tornado Field.

Myles Robbins rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns and Kamden Young had 130 yards and two scores as the Tigers improved to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the district.

Storm Lake fell behind 33-0 at the half but would get a their only points of the game early in the 3rd quarter and they turned that into six points when Charlie Dvergsten connected with Cam Boyd on a 30 yard touchdown pass. Dvergsten was 17-of-39 for 200 yards with one interception. Rylan Richardson had 7 catches for 106 yards and Boyd finished with six receptions for 98 yards.

Storm Lake falls to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the district and will conclude the year next Friday at Le Mars.
