The Storm Lake soccer teams swept Boyden-Hull-Rock Valley on Thursday with both teams winning 3-2. Edgar Duarte score a goal and assisted on two others and the Tornadoes moved their record to 6-4-1. The girls, who tied Humboldt earlier in the week, picked up their first win of the year.
Both tennis teams were shutout by Spencer, the girls lost 9-0 and the boys 7-0.
The Storm Lake track and field teams both placed 4th at the Lakes Conference meet which was held in Spirit Lake. Mckenzie Harder won the 100 in 12.25, the 200 in 25.18, and the 400 in 59.52. Melanie Chanthapangna won the high jump with a height on 5-3.
Garnieno Weno was the 400 in 50.09
