The Storm Lake girls lost a hard fought battle with E-L-C 57-54. The game was tied 30-30 at the half and the Midgets held a six point lead 54-48 with 4:20 to go. With under 10 seconds left in the game and Storm Lake trailing 56-54 Maddy Raveling just missed a 3-pointer and E-L-C got the rebound, they were fouled and would then make 1-of-2 at the free throw line to put them ahead at 57-54. A time-out by Storm Lake with 2.1 left in the game gave the Tornadoes a chance with the ball having to go the full length of the floor but they weren’t able to get a shot off in at the end.
