The Storm Lake boys basketball team scored 58 2nd half points in their 93-61 win over visiting Fort Dodge Thursday night. Storm Lake made 21-of-30 shots in the 2nd half including 9-of-17 from the arc as they move their season record to 14-1.
Cam Boyd scored 29 points while passing like a magician and Jaidyn Coon scored 18 of his 27 points in the 2nd half and Charlie Dvergsten was also in double figures with ten.
Coon picked up his 3rd foul with 6:50 to go in the 2nd quarter with Storm Lake leading 24-7. The Dodgers made a run and trailed 35-29 at the half only to watch Storm Lake put on a show in the 2nd half and Fort Dodge falls to 4-14 on the year.

The Storm Lake girls never trailed in their 58-32 win over Fort Dodge. Balanced scoring for the Tornadoes with Avery DeHaan and Maddy Raveling each scoring 13 points while Adeeya Yanga added 12. Storm Lake’s defense forced 23 turnovers and limited the Dodgers to 27-percent shooting.

The Tornado girls are now 12-7 on the year and Fort Dodge is now 7-13. The Storm Lake teams will host Spencer Friday night for a double-header starting at 6pm. The games will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA and video streamed at stormlakeradio.com
