The East Sac County Raider softball team defeated the Storm Lake Saint Mary’s Panthers 16-2 in three innings
The Raiders capitalized on three Panther errors and two dropped strike threes to lead 6-0 after the top of the first inning. Anna McCollough also collected an RBI in the inning. The Panthers would see Neely Bacon get hit by a pitch, however after that Miranda Gerdes would strike out the side. The Raiders would add to their lead in the second inning when McCollough knocked in two runs on a double. The Raiders would lead 8-0 going to the bottom of the second. The Panthers would get on the scoreboard with two runs including an RBI from Avery Smith, to cut the Raider lead to 8-2 after two innings. The Raiders would tally eight runs in the top of the third, highlighted by RBIs from Kendal Quirk and Gracie Snyder. The Raiders led 16-2 going to the bottom of the third. The Panthers would get a hit from Dani Young but not score as the Raiders won 16-2.
With the win the Raiders improve to 4-3, and the Panthers fall to 0-4 with the loss
