The East Sac County Raider Girls Soccer team defeated the Sioux Center Warriors 3-1 in the Class 1A Region 4 Quarterfinal
The first half saw an even battle between the two teams as the game would go scoreless in the first 34 minutes of action. The Warriors would catch a break and the first goal of the game when a shot from mid-field would take a high bounce over keeper Thayer. That would give the Warriors a 1-0 lead, a lead they would take into the halftime break. After the halftime break the Raiders would find their footing when Chloe Bieret would score her 13th goal of the season with 35:58 to go in the game to tie the game at 1. Later in the game, Kenna Meyer would find the back of the net for her 19th to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead. The Raiders would never give up the lead after that as Cora Mahler added her 3rd goal of the season and the Raiders went on to win 3-1.
With the win the Raiders improve to 8-5 and advance to play 1A #5 (and defending 1A Champs) Bishop Heelan next Tuesday at 7:00 pm (the game will be broadcast on Storm Lake Radio) and the loss ends the Warriors season at 8-9
