Ridge View 12, Westwood 5 WP-Tatum Shepherd gave up four hits, one earned run, and struck out ten. Margan Wright led a 16 hit attack going 4-for-4 with 4RBI
Baseball
Spirit Lake 5, Storm Lake 4 (10) Jack Wajda delivered the game winning hit to walk off the Tornadoes. Braxton Jensen pitched two-thirds of an inning and took the loss (now 5-1). Jake Eddie was outstanding on the mound as the senior pitched 8 2/3 giving up four runs, two were earned, five hits and he struck out 14 and walked none. Jake White and Edgar Barriero each had two hits and two RBI. Storm Lake is now 17-6 overall and 3-3 in the Lakes Conference. They play again Friday at home vs. MOC-FV.

Newell-Fonda 10, South Central Calhoun 0 (5) WP-Mason Dicks gave up one hit and struck out eight in 3 2/3 innings. Mason Hoberman and Zach Mercer both had two hits and 3 RBI. The Mustangs host Sioux Central Thursday night and the varsity game will be broadcast on KAYL.
